Proof 2: The Old White-Out Trick

Just an indication of easy the process of copyright violation can be.

The Quigman cartoon on the left is a scan from a Quigman book that was printed in 1990, so the cartoon itself is considerably older than that. The Quigman on the right is the same cartoon, but this incarnation appeared in the daily papers on November 12, 1998. As you can see, Buddy has added a new date (next to lion in foreground) and syndication information, but has conveniently whited-out my name from the signature at the bottom of each page. The very same cartoon was used again on March 17, 2004.
