This is a great example of how easy the daily comic business is. Just take an old cartoon that you've used before and white-out the date (see red arrow, right), then add in the new date (see red arrow, right) and send the cartoon in again. Piece o' cake! And it's even better if you can do it again and again, like Buddy does.

In this instance, the version on the left was originally printed on March 17, 1993. You can JUST make out my name in the signature in the lower right of this image. It was reprinted April 12, 1997, with my name removed, and then used AGAIN on August 31, 2002.
